If you're a military spouse, you get it...
Your spouse leaves for a deployment and your car promptly breaks down. Your PCS orders change moments after you watch your household goods pull away in the moving van. Or you meet the best friend you've ever had...6 months before one of you moves across the world.
Should you laugh or should you cry? Well, maybe a little bit of both!
Whether you’re a shiny new military spouse or [ahem] more "seasoned" like me, you know how quickly military life will make you an expert at rolling with the punches and constantly reinventing yourself. I'm right there with you. My book, You Are Not Alone: Encouragement for the Heart of a Military Spouse was born from nearly three decades of military life. I'm now also a military mom, with our oldest son serving on active duty.
While I don't pretend to know everything, I'm here to offer you some hope, encouragement, and yes, laughs for this military life journey. Because, let's be honest, sometimes you have to laugh so you don't cry.
I want to let you know you're not alone and to whisper, "You've got this!" during the hard times. I'm here to tell you that you can not only survive military spouse life, but thrive and create your own wonderful life.
