Veteran's Week blog tour-Faith Deployed

Another chance to win a free book!

Today, I have the opportunity to review the book, Faith Deployed, a daily devotional compiled by Jocelyn Green. It’s a great book of encouragement for military spouses, with writers from every U.S. military branch. Each day's selection consists of a Bible verse, personal reflection, then an “ask” and “pray” section to get you thinking further. This is a GREAT resource for any military spouse. I love how each day's devotional has enough 'meat' in it to get you thinking.

The chapters include thoughts that particularly apply to military spouses, such as “Taking Every Thought Captive”, “Guarding the Heart”, “Total Surrender”, and “Active Duty Faith”.

There is so much strength and wisdom contained in this little book, from conquering resentment, to coping with life as a “single parent” (due to frequent TDYs or deployments), to viewing a new military assignment as a ‘missionary journey’. This book helps us see the military experience through the eyes of faith, reminds us to reach higher and see beyond our circumstances, and trust that all things come through God’s hands. It will be an invaluable resource to any military spouse, whether you are brand new to this lifestyle or a 'seasoned' spouse like me.

Be sure to leave a comment after this post for a chance to receive a FREE copy of this marvelous book! I will close out comments next Wed. and do the drawing then. If you win, I will contact you for your address, and ship the book to you!
